Since 1984, Cobo is a worldwide leader in plastic injection moulding for footwear. They deliver full-service experiences of cutting-edge soles and components shaping their customer's future. The aim was to showcase the know-how and products basing the art direction on the fluid plastic concept.

Story

Using Three.js and WebGL we were able to re-create the viscosity and elasticity of the plastic material form before the product is finished. Blend-modes, tech typo-driven approach was a delightful and functional approach to to represent the craftsmanship of the company. We used GPGPU to reduce CPU computation on CPU in order to get 60FPS on most devices, even on mobile.
